I have a lot of fond memories from high school but, one of the best things that ever happened to me was being fortunate enough to have Nancy as my prom date. We spent the night of the prom on the beach in Evanston just talking then watching the sun come up. I could no sooner forget her than forgetting to breathe.

Franny was the first friend I had starting at Timber Ridge School. She was probably the funniest person I’ve ever known and those who knew her would agree. Her smile and laughter linger on. Knowing ‘Hope’ Fran’s daughter, makes Fran somehow reappear as she is the image of the woman lost to us. The photo attached is Hope.....

A small world story.

In my early 20's I got free front row tickets to a N.Y. Nets basketball game. There, practicing under the hoop was Lackey!

Called out to him and he came over and we chatted for 5 minutes or so.

He went on in that game to lead his team to victory, scoring (I think) something like 28 points.
A real thrill.

It was also fun to catch up with him at our 20th reunion.  He is missed.

Michael was my lab partner in Biology class. I remember we began to dissect (I believe it was a fetal pig) and Mike hit the floor at the first incision. I told Mr. Alexander that Mike passed out, and his answer was: Be careful of Mike, everyone, just step over him!

So very sorry to hear of his passing.

Dear Sichelle,

I will always remember the fun and laughs we shared at the last class reunion when we posed as Martha and the Vandellas with the songs, “Come and Get These Memories” and “Dancing in the Streets!”  Harriet, Drew and I will cherish all of the wonderful times the four of us shared throughout the many years of our friendship, in growing up together from our teens and on into adulthood.
What a wonderful gift you were to us, whose wit often made us laugh even at times when we didn’t feel like it.  You will always remain in our hearts.  We will never forget you, our precious friend.

Image George was very courageous with his 5+ year fight with recurring Glioblastoma.   As we both lived in the Seattle area, and when he was in town (he worked on ocena-going freighters) we would get togther and have a great time.  We owned  brother and sister English Spaniels and would delight to take them on walks with George and Kate and Anita and I at Flaming Geyser State Park that was half way between our houses.

Goerge never had anything to say bad about anyone and was a true friend and gentleman.  During his last year he wanted to take
Anita and I out for a "nice steak dinner" and would not let us share in the expense.  George gave up drinking long ago but wanted to spare no nickle on making sure we had a nice Cabernet with our steaks.

We had a great evening, reminiscing about Evanston, our paths since then and that we enjoed living in the Northwest.  It as a bitter-sweet evening because his cancer had come back, surgery wasn't an option, and he wasn't looking forwad to another round(s) of chemo.

We both knew that that eveing was likely to be the last time we ever saw one another and he was stoic, brave and as friendly as ever.

A true friend.  Bill
